FRONTIERS ROCK FESTIVAL V - April 28 - 29 • 2018 - LIVE CLUB TREZZO SULL'ADDA - MILAN (ITALY)
The debut-album, “How Long”, originally released back in 1988, is considered as one of the best and more acclaimed AOR works in the whole history of the genre, still keeping its charming class intact after those 30 years. The reissue of the album (with the addition of three bonus-tracks), during 2007, has been the beginning of the relationship between Michael Thompson and Frontiers Records, that also released the second Michael Thompson Band album, “Future Past”, in 2012.

With an amazing list of credits, including such prominent names as Phil Collins, Rod Stewart, Scorpions, Vince Neil, Christina Aguilera, Michael Bolton, Mariah Carey and Madonna, Michael Thompson is one of the music industry's most widely heralded guitar-players. Although really busy, Thompson decided that the time was finally arrived for a brand new M.T.B. studio-album; so he has teamed up with the awesome singer Larry King (Soleil Moon), with bass-player Larry Antonino (Unruly Child) and keyboard-wiz John Blasucci (Dennis DeYoung) to write an album with a new and slightly more rockin' approach sound, still keeping the unique trademark that made the band so popular back in the day. And the wait is almost over, as the album will be released sometime this year.

In the meantime the band has proudly accepted to play at “Frontiers Rock Festival”; it will be a sort of “premiere” for Italian and european fans and promises to be an absolute “must-hear/see” for all AOR/Melodic Rock fans out there!
